Quinceanera Themes
The most common Quinceanera themes are usually based on a day in the life of a princess. With the flowing gown, crown and scepter that are tradition with the ceremony, it is no wonder this is the route that most young women choose when planning their event. However, there are other themes that can be just as suitable and romantic, without being to far off course. The best way to discover what quinceanera theme will work for you is to sit down and think about your interests, your passions and your plans for your future.
For example you may dream of traveling the world, and living a fashion filled life based in Paris. This can be used as a great starting point for your quinceanera theme. For centerpieces, small replicas of the Eiffel tower could be used. Instead of the traditional place cards, addressed vintage Paris postcards could be set at every seat. French dishes could be incorporated into the menu, or a few French songs could be mixed into the play list.
Some Quinceaneras may feel that they would like something a little less formal, in which case a theme can be as simple as a color. For example you could have a black and white theme and request that all guests wear black or white outfits. This type of Quinceanera theme makes for great family photos and snapshots. Your color choice doesn’t have to be so plain however, you could choose any color. How eye catching would you be in your white dress if the rest of the room was dressed and decorated in shades of red and pink?!
You can even choose a quinceanera theme based on one specific interest, such as your favorite book or movie or favorite flower or even butterflies. These quinceanera themes can be a lot of fun to attend and plan, but do need quite a bit of creativity and crafty projects to be pulled off successfully. For example, hundreds of paper butterflies hanging from the ceiling sounds like a lot of work, but would definitely transport your guest to a fantasy land filled with wonder and romance.
